President / Co-Founder
Mr. Kerr is responsible for acquiring, structuring and financing Bluestone’s projects, as well as negotiating their sale to merchant builders. Mr. Kerr also manages political and community relations during the entitlement process.
Prior to Bluestone, Mr. Kerr was president of Polygon and various subsidiaries, with total activities in excess of $1.0 billion.
Prior to Polygon, Mr. Kerr served in a senior executive capacity with Arnel Development and Shearson/American Express.
Mr. Kerr brings years of proven experience to Bluestone. Since 1983, he has secured funding, acquired land and developed over $3.0 billion in residential, commercial and industrial properties as a principal or on behalf of various real estate and land development companies.
Before embarking on his career in land development, Mr. Kerr was a real estate transactions attorney in Orange County, CA.
Mr. Kerr’s education includes a J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law and an M.B.A. from Haas School of Business – both schools of the University of California, Berkeley. He graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Pomona College, with additional studies at University College, Oxford, England.
