Mr. Emerson’s responsibilities at Bluestone include structuring and managing the company’s public financing, negotiating with public service providers, managing project design and construction.
Mr. Emerson has engaged in a wide variety of private and industrial real estate transactions in a distinguished 15 year career.
Prior to Bluestone, Mr. Emerson was a senior executive at Polygon Southwest, where he had overall management responsibility for all commercial and residential land development operations. Mr. Emerson managed Polygon’s projects from inception through final sale to merchant builders, overseeing land acquisition, government approvals, mapping, engineering and construction.
Before joining Polygon, Mr. Emerson was a principal at Benchmark Real Estate Group, the master developer of Rancho Santa Margarita, a 5,000-acre master-planned community with residential, retail, and business park construction.
Mr. Emerson co-founded Westport Group, Inc., with Mike Kerr in 1993. This regional homebuilding firm completed projects in Costa Mesa, Yorba Linda, Corona, Oxnard, Camarillo and Ventura.
Mr. Emerson is a licensed Engineering and General Building contractor and Real Estate Broker. He is also a registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Emerson received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1982. |
